Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I would really thank the kind people who helped my mum yesterday.  She fell on Hermitage Road and some lovely people stopped to assist and helped her home.

If it was you, or you know the who these people were, please do send me a DM.

With many thanks,

Anna

Can't help you in your quest but there's more good decent people out there than bad. Hope your mum is OK.

Doodle, I'm so glad you added that comment.

I suspect that Covid may have had some impact on that kindness of strangers. No handshakes. Social distancing. Quarantine; and lockdown. Also in general getting into the habit of keeping our distance from family, friends and strangers - not wanting to spread Covid or catch the virus. And irritated or fearful - at least I was - when meeting people who refused to wear a mask. In one case they "explained" it was because of some rumour involving Bill Gates.

But now, quite rapidly it seems, we hear of incidents where friends or neighbours have returned to mutual aid and small public acts and gestures of politeness and the altruism Anna C describes.
