Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Andy at the excellent stroudgreen.org was recently pointed at our candidate interviews and asked if they could do the same.

I'm delighted to report that they did pick up on this and the candidates in one (maybe two) of our neighbouring wards are now being video interviewed. With a nice touch they interviewed the Lib Dem group together in a cafe.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get the whole borough done!

"pick up on" is a bit cheeky. I thought doing video interviews of council candidates was my idea over our pint in the dairy! ;)

That notwithstanding, you've clearly done tons more work on this than us. All great stuff. Well done.
Sorry Andy. Didn't mean to tread on your toes. I was just going on what I read on your website. If you mentioned it to me when we met, it's completely gone from my mind, but congratulations on a great idea. ;o)
No toes trodden on - success has many parents, but failure is an orphan.
Drink soon?
Absolutely! I'll mail you - and I've changed the title of this post.
Am I alone in finding Front Room interviews preferable to Front Room Cafe chats? Sign Language interpreter required.
Sound is tough with the small portable video devices we all have, but I like the style - different, not better or worse for me.
The sound was rubbish, the ambient noise from the room next door was far worse than we thought. Even after noodling with it we only got it to what you heard. We'll be doing the other ones in quieter places, but the group format was nice and I think it was good to see them as a team. You live and learn.
I think the more it's done, the more candidates will get comfortable with it ...and that's gotta be good for local people! It's great the way video actually shows something of the 'person' behind that name on your ballot paper
