Trees for Streets - be careful before parting with your money
I posted a separate post re. the "Trees for Streets" scheme but sadly Ive been left disappointed. The scheme has a flaw. In my situation they didnt get the tree in the location I wanted and decided on another location without consulting me. They took my money anyway and I had to appeal to Head of Parks at Haringey and local Councillors to get my money back. Hopefully going forward they will work with residents to get the correct / preferred locations.

They told me my preferred location - where I could maintain the tree - wasn't suitable and offered several others quite a long way away as options to support. But my proposed location was the exact spot where a previous tree was planted before someone complained on the council app about its untidy lean. So, a bit disappointing so far.
