Fairfax Road Traffic travelling two ways and causing chaos

Since 2.00am this morning, vehicles have been travelling from Green Lanes, west towards Wightman Road, which meets the traffic going east from Wightman Road to Green Lanes, and we are being kept awake by the loud sound of vans and lorries reversing, drivers shouting and arguing, horns blaring. Does anyone know what is going on. Tried to report it to MPS and the wait is far too long.

Police has cordoned off the Green Lanes end of Fairfax Road (due to last nights shooting) but they haven't put a sign on the Wightman Rd end to advise drivers. Apparently they've now ordered a sign from the Highway Authorities! I don't know how long will that take to get the sign!

Tragic loss of human life.

This is the second incident involving firearms around this part of the Ladder in less than a year. Very worrying. MPS should have cordoned off Fairfax Road hours ago, I doubt it will happen now.
