Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

About to get new laptop as old v slow. It's win 10 to Win 10. Thinking of buying a data transfer cable which goes for about £30. But how much would I expect to pay a techie to do it for me to save me buying a cable and the bother of sorting it out?Thanks...

My suggestion would be to buy a portable hard drive, such as this. Bit more expensive (although you can probably find them cheaper), but if you copy all your 'Documents' folders onto it, you can copy them onto the new laptop *and* have a backup of everything.

Install onedrive, sync it, put onedrive on new device, sync it. Devices will have the same data. Just put anything you need in a folder on the desktop first. Should all be free or trials.
