Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi

Last Saturday evening a group of guys renovating a house in our street were filling up a large metal bin - you know the kind you get outside shops for waste, at some point during the evening they very kindly dumped this away from their house and further up the road - lovely!!!

Other than topping it back into their own front garden - which has crossed my mind do I contact the council to get it removed as it is not only an eyesore but is a potential traffic hazard as it is in the road

oh yes that's right I read about that - cool thanks will give it a go!!!
Tamara, You can get the stuff removed by Haringey Enterprise. Or your ward has an Enforcement Officer. He or she may be able to fine the dumpers - but will ask for a statement from you. I suggest you choose which route you want. Then phone the Council switchboard. 0208 489 0000. If you want an Enforcement Officer insist on speaking to one.

If you report it on the cool "fix my street" thing on the HOL homepage they will report it for you. It's happened a couple of times in my road and the rubbish was cleared in a couple of days. I love fix my street!
You should tell the council who it was and insist on them getting fined.
