I did - and made it the first H & StA Area Assembly that was live-tweeted.
There was some good news on progress on HMOs. I've been promised a copy of the slides and PeterPiper has promised to do a write-up of that bit.
The liveliness you'll have heard about appears to have been around Cllr Haley. We first heard from him when he vociferously complained that it wasn't fair that Cllr Canver had been allowed to speak without putting her hand up and he hadn't.
Then, at eth end of the evening, a St. Ann's resident who was clearly a strong supporter of Cllr. Haley used his soapbox slot to decry Cllr Haley's departure and to accuse Cllr. Canver of failing to engage with St Ann's residents and implied that she might have been involved in Cllr. Haley's deselection.
Cllr. Canver made a dignified but emotional response, making it clear that her record on engaging was good and that she had nothing to do with Cllr. Haley's deselection.
I'm not sure what's going on, but we saw a much less self-assured Cllr. Haley last night. I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.
