Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'd love a hand/machine knitted black sweater...Have tried online and in shops but can't find one anywhere.  Is there someone out there who could knit one for me???

Large, thick knit, comfy and warm!!!

Let me know if you can, please.

Try Etsy.com. There are lots of knitters on there who will make clothes to your specifications!

Hi Elizabeth......Thank you for the suggestion, have had a quick look, definately a possability.   Sue

Hello Sue

I can knit. For a thick sweater you’d be looking at around £60 - £100 for quality materials. As a skilled crafts person I will charge you £25 per hour, estimate around 40- 80 hours to knit this, depending on the pattern and design. Do you have your own pattern or would you like me to design it for you?

Or maybe try John Lewis or M&S?

so that would be a sweater for around £1,500 then - a snip. who needs paris fashion houses

Hi Lauren.....Thank you for replying but think it would be a bit expensive for me.   Sue

Wow that's one expensive sweater! Do you have pics of your previous work? I'd be interested to see it.

You can get beginner-friendly kits here https://www.woolandthegang.com/

I used to do a bit of contract knitting, back when I was doing my MSc. If I worked it out to am hourly rate it really wasn't worth my time.
