Some of you may have noticed that Indika Indian Restaurant is closed for refurbishment.
The good news is that Indika will carry on, but as a take-away / delivery service only.
The other news is that the front part of the shop is being converted to a peri-peri chicken take-away / delivery outlet. It will still be under the ownership of Ali of Indika.

An excellent wheeze. Maximize use of the kitchen and dining space. Good luck to them. This kind of adaptation is the only way many will survive.
Wonderful news. I like their food and LOVE peri peri chicken so I'm happy.
Almost as weird as the sandwich shop round the corner from my uni halls which closed at 2 then reopened at 5 as a fully fledged Chinese takeaway!
Certainly will be nice to see some more variety about :)
Although it wasn't anything out of the ordinary I used to enjoy (some of) Indika's food. I'm lukewarm on its conversion to a takeaway shop. I suppose the times are such that they if they can't afford to keep the front of house for an increasingly fewer dining customers, they can do one better by expanding the kitchen to cater to a wider range of tastes, hence the chicken shop.
All in all a sad state of affairs to see a restaurant at a good location on the Parade be turned into a takeaway shop.
