Hi philip. I honestly wouldn't bother. We had one built in our last place...paid for expensive glass that claimed to reflect heat in summer but maintain in winter, had underfloor heating put in, 'self cleaning roof'- total rubbish! It was unusable due to heat in summer (we had wine bottles explode in there) and freezing in winter despite underfloor heating.

Sorry not to have a more positive story!

If you want to create an extra habitable room, a properly insulated extension is definitely the way to go rather than a conservatory

I'm thinking of doing something like this too. Just a covered area to store bikes and garden furniture. I'll let you know if I find anything of interest to share!
