There's not a nice way of putting this, but I currently live next-door to a grade-A moron who has, for the past two Saturdays, invited three or four friends round for a barbecue.
Last week I rang the police on 101 and reported it, but they didn't come.
This week I have rung the police on 101 and reported it, and 90 minutes on nothing has happened still.
I realise that there are more urgent crimes the police need to attend to, so I'm not complaining about them, as they're doing an impossible job in a fast-moving situation. What I was wondering was how I could report it to the Safer Neighbourhood Team (if that still exists) so that at some point during the week my neighbour can have somebody politely and firmly tell him to stop.
Any suggestions? (Don't think I haven't already contemplated turning my garden hose on their barbecue. But I don't particularly want to get into a fight.)

Ha, no, I'm not! Looks like there's enough selfishness and stupidity to go round for all the Ladder roads. Sigh!
Good to know - wanted to call them too but not sure exactly which house it's coming from.

Thank you, Tessa. I'm hoping that he will have learned something useful today. But if he hasn't then I shall use that at 3pm next Saturday, which is when he likes to start his parties, it would seem
Unfortunately the world, in whatever state it is, contains axxholes. I suggest stepping back. You've done your bit. You and 99.9% are doing the right thing. Let them suffer the consequences as they surely will. Be mindful of your own peace of mind and blot them out.
