Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

It does seem to depend on Sorting Offices and Staff

My Postman Bragged there was Countless bags awaiting sorting @ Wood Green

And in his mind it could Stay there

All I have had in last week is odd token letters 11-20 Day's in Post

Aware of a fair bit of post delayed

Including Two weekly Tax Credit payments

Normally have 5-8 Letters per Day - including a PO Box

Yes, we had similar problems last week, but not this week curiously. There is another post (ho ho) about this here.
Here's how Harringay-based Guardian Money editor Hilary Osborne fared with her mail recently.
The charming gentleman who delivers parcels for that arm of Royal Mail, told me this morning that parcels are not badly affected as far as he could see. He said of the parcels division,

"We are not in deep sh*it, we are in shallow sh*t".

If only all the Royal Mail staff could be as efficient and courteous (never mind as debonair) as him, everyone would be better off ...

.
Sorry, I quite like that analogy Clive.
I loved the analogy and laughed when I heard it; I wasn't being sarcastic, I meant every word of what I said. BTW, the postman was not from this country, but from another EU country. I'd better not identify him any further, otherwise I may risk a humourless corporate entity relieving him of his duties.
I have a cheque in the post and I WANT it.
