Hello!

Can anyone recommend a good wifi extender (is that the right word?), please?

Thanks!

Hi Anna,

wi-fi in my house has been transformed by installing tp-link deco mesh wi-fi system. No doubt there are other brands but happy with ours - we have three units: one works as the router, the other two are positioned around the house and I beleive they all 'talk' to each other!

Hi Gill, thanks for the tip - will look into it!

I have one of these:

HUAWEI WiFi Q2 Pro (Pack of 3, Hybrid), Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System, Gigabit PLC + Wi-Fi Hybrid, Plug and Play, Seamless Roaming, Wi-Fi Everywhere https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZTPZCBT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_vRAFEbE...

and it’s amazing. It uses 2 different. Technologies, mesh and lan/powerline

it was so easy to setup too.

Thanks Jimmy :) sounds really promising, will take a look

I a lso have a deco m5 and it works really well

i have 2 nodes only, I didn't want to go all out in case it didn't deliver on the promise and to be honest, I don't need the third.

obviously these decisions depend on the layout of the property and the location of the main node.

Hey Ruben, thanks for that! Will take a look.

I'd recommend a Powerline Adapter. I've been using one for several years now and it's doing a great job. It's the easiest and neatest option.

This kind of thing:
