Raleigh Rd: plastic burning every evening
Every evening there is a strong smell of burnt plastic at Raleigh road, towards the Ducketts Common end.
I am worried that someone might have run out of wood and might have resorted to burning plastic to keep warm, not knowing how terribly toxic it is for them and for their neighbours.
Have you smelled it?
what do you think it is?

Hi Regina,
I suspect it's someone burning the plastic casing from electrical cables to get a fraction more for the copper inside. It happened a few doors down from me a while back. Give Haringey Council a call on 020 8489 1335 during office hours, or 020 8489 0000 after 5pm and on weekends. It's a public health issue, mention that when you call!
