The cafe in the clothing village reopened last year as Venus Cafe following refurbishment and having had an excellent brunch there this morning wanted to spread the word here. The menu is short but eclectic, great value and has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, all of which are freshly made to order. The rosti with avocado, miso and pickles is superb and there was a great buzz when we visited. A local business that is well worth supporting!
Thought I read it as part of what is up on Fontill Rd, then realised you are talking about behind Sainsbury’s in Haringey right? Is there a clothing store that you can actually go in to, to purchase then?
Feel the need to lend an opinion here.
This place must be tried - it is a real gem, run by individuals who love food and make absolutely everything inhouse - pasta, sauces, pickles etc. It is a refreshing break from the lazy 'egg on toast with avocado' option that counts for variety on Green Lanes, and it is head and shoulders above Abraco, Beans & Barley, DoBar and all other fronts for the Turkish food service supply chain.
Do give them a go - here is a snippet of their quirky Instagram that should give you an idea of the people behind the food - and the food itself! https://www.instagram.com/the_Venus_of_haringey/
