Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Today saw the final goodbye to Harringay's PC Glyn Kelly. A well attended memorial service was held at St Peter's Church on Wightman Road. Organised by a member of the local policing team, it was attended by Glyn's Newcastle-based family, members of the local community, local police and Cllr Zena Brabazon.

Following the service a plaque was unveiled to Glyn's memory on Green Lanes outside Snug cafe. A tree was also planted in the same spot in memory of Glyn. Both were organised by members of the local community.

Thank you or your information above. I was very sorry not to be able to attend the service but I assume my message to his family was given with all others. The plaque is perfect.

I had marked Glen Kelly’s memorial in my diary, but, sadly, my mum’s funeral service was on the same day. As I went through my mum’s old, battered address book to find names and addresses of her friends, I found Glyn’s name and contact number! It reminded me of the many times my mum spoke of Glyn and his commitment to the community. Rest peacefully Glyn.

It's so nice that this had been done to honour this Man.  I saw it as i walked to the shops the weekend, he must have meant so much to so many people. Well done to all those who made this possible .
