Over two years ago, I reported that a planning application had been submitted to develop the land behind 13-15 Grand Parade (former Fairline / Class ) as flats. Along wiht this went the proposa; to extend the commercial prermises.
As is the way of these things, it's since gone quite. But in the meantime, last year, the permission was extend to increase the development at the rear to also include the kand behind 16 Grand Parade.
A rash of 'details' applications published last week tell us that the application is alive an kicking and likely to proceed soon.
The extension of the commercial premises to create a very large unit may explain the interest of the Co-op last year. Latest news suggests that this is now not proceeding. But there will be a very large commercial premises to let over the next few years.
Back in 2017, the arrival of a new mega-restaurant was on the cards. However, the recent surprise adherence of Haringey Planning to their planning policies means that it is unlikely to get permission as a restaurant now without being subdivided.
