Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Ordering a new batch of dental floss last night, I somehow happened upon a study which says that Glide dental floss emits cancer causing chemicals. Skim-reading around, it seems like the consensus is to avoid flosses produced by the major manufacturers.

The no-doubts-option seems to be natural flosses which have the added benefit of being biodegradeable.

Has anyone else come across this? Is it bunkum?

Mindful of similar concerns myself I switched to Desert Essence a few years ago, but have been annoyed to find that though it is coated in beeswax and tea tree oil, the floss itself is nylon.

I’ve since found is a very good write up of plastic-free dental flosses here:

I use a water flosser and it's the best thing ever!

I use this bamboo floss in a glass refillable bottle.

I can throughly recommend it along with the tooth tabs & bamboo toothbrushes on this site:
