Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

NOISY neighbours, bars and restaurants has led thousands of furious residents to lodge complaints making Haringey the country's second noisiest borough.

The revelation follows a Freedom of Information (FOI) request which shows that 9,500 residents have been compelled to report a disturbance to Haringey Council.

The musicians - their term - in the flat under mine playing guitars until 2 am EVERY night. Gone now thank God.
Then drivers with low self esteem and big amps vibrating the neighbourhood as they roll along with car windows wound down.
Yes, all that crap rap music coming out of cruising four wheel machines. House alarms, car alarms. People bringing their 'domestic situations' out onto the street. Traffic!
Ditto drivers with low self esteem and big amps vibrating the neighbourhood as they roll along with car windows wound down.

Our offenders are mainly Job Center Plus visitors;
Parking in your quiet residential Lane, sometimes up to seven illegally parked cars at one time, windows down, doors open, big amps vibrating [through your head] Or treated to a full blown domestic in a parked car right outside you home[listen to attachment] when hubby dosn't get his dole money.
People using our window ledges as an outdoor seating 'annex' to the Job Center; noisey angry men, shouting at each other or down their mobile phones.
Noise police taking over an hour to attend the call out.

[This happens every working day 10am-4pm]
Harringey traffic enforcement refusing to send traffic wardens to patrol and enforce the area, nor award the Lane full CPZ protection.
Remove the cars by enforcing the parking zones and you remove the noise and the ASB, but Harringey Council need several meetings to conclude this themselves.

Cars with big stereos and crap R'n B or rap on full blast, domestics in the street after midninght, and NUMBER 74 SEYMOUR ROAD IN GENERAL! ARRGHHH!
VIX,

That recording of yours says it all really doesn't it ... !! Well captured.
Matt
Enforcement has listened to it and stuck their heads back in the sand, so still nothing is being done about the noise created by the Job Center. Its rediculous.
If it was club creating the ASB littering and noise they would risk losing their license. Guess one of us will have be assaulted by one the vehicles occupants when we ask them to turn their stereo down, before any action is taken.
I just don't get it - I don't understand how people can just not give a damn about the other people around them. The house opposite me is bedsits and one of them just blares out music all day long, windows open, late at night, loads of mates round, late night chats outside at 2.00, screaming out the window at 5.20 on a Sunday morning.

Its really really annoying for us but let's face it, we're in a house with double glazing so we can move away from the noise and just try and ignore it (as well as talk to Haringey, get noise lot round etc). But what about the poor soul who lives underneath her or in the next door flat? Why do people care so little about how they affect everyone else?
