Recommendations for repair of electrical items - specifically an av receiver

Our av receiver (Yamaha RX V467) has just stopped working and won't turn on. We really don't want to throw away without trying to fix and are looking for some recommendations of people / places who might be able to take a look at it. Could anyone help?

Note: We have tried the obvious of changing the fuse - unfortunately with no success

Isn't there a man at the hub on the rec who fixes electrical things with you? £4 I think. Tinkering with broken electronics. Bring your own broken one. We're it me id upgrade to a digital one. DAB receiver.
