Just found out that the pub is now open - this evening at 5 and all day over weekend.
A few people have been eagerly anticipating this. I shall be sampling a pint of their porter later!! Happy days!

Popped in tonight, the place was full and stayed full with a steady stream of new customers, great atmosphere - and a great new venue for the area. I was there for the ales, but the people I chatted to said the pizzas were great, so I'll be back to sample the food as well as more ales/ lagers.
