The resentment stems from the fact that I believe the plumber in question has demonstrated a lack of integrity. Site admin saw fit to remove some posts purportedly from clients of his “without prejudice”. In other words, there’s no absolute proof that Neil was posting fake reviews but that was certainly a distinct possibility. For me, what I personally disliked was that when a very heated online debate about some of his activities surfaced and he was invited to defend his actions, he chose not to do so. That’s his right, but it says to me that he didn’t really have a defence for letting certain people down very badly. We all have bad days at the office, but when you do the wrong thing, I believe the right thing to do is to apologise and to try and make reparations. Had he done that I might be more forgiving. But in light of those actions, I would not use him, and yes, I find this constant “bigging up” irritating. I’ve never met the man; maybe he’s great, maybe he’s not. On the basis of what I’ve heard on here I won’t risk finding out first hand.

I wish I had check this site before calling Neil Protheroe.
I called Neil as my shower had only hot water. He came and charged me £45 to check shower cartridge. He said he would let me know when he'd receive the shower cartridge. Three months have gone by and the guy has disappeared. He has been ignoring my numerous phone calls and messages.
Unreliable and unprofessional. You have been warned.
