This picture shows the basin of water just before the river curved around Harringay House. You can see from this map that it was directly due north of where Hewitt, Allison and Beresford Roads are, but is now built over by the much-expanded railway line. The road in the middle distance is the newly laid out Wightman Road, carried over the river by a temporary bridge.
This sketch shows a similar view, but from the other direction.
This contemporary photo shows roughly the same spot, showing the same bridge over the river, but facing in the other direction, towards Ally Pally.
