Found - Harringay Arena, London Music Festival Archive - First the Good News
This morning I received in the post and unceremoniously bundled lot of local historian's treasure - an archive of material, I think from the Music Festival's Press agent, about the 1948 London Music Festival held in the Harringay Arena.
I intend to give it to a proper archive for safe-keeping - probably Bruce Castle. Before doing that I will publish the key bits on this site for anyone interested.

.........but the bad news..........in correspondence with the guy I bought from, he mentioned that he had a whole lot more stuff. I arranged to call him that night.
When I called him, I was gutted to learn that the rest of the archive had, by coincidence, been sold that day in his shop having sat there unnoticed for months. I'm trying to see if he can track down the buyer. -
