Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
This month's new Crouch End Coffee Shop
It sometimes seems that barely a month goes by without another new cafe in Crouch End.
Having said that the new Rocking Chair Cafe on Park Road (just about opposite Banners) feels comfortable in its surroundings. It doesn't give the sense of facing off against the recent clutch of froth merchants in The End. From the outside, it feels as connected to the Crouch End I used to live in through the late Eighties/early-mid Nineties as it does to The End of the teens. Certainly more Moka than My Kind Of.
It styles itself as an organic cafe and has plenty of organic and veggie options. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but would be interested to hear word of it from anyone who has.
