Recognising our Good Neighbours

Reading Pip's story this morning of how her neighbour had prevented the theft of her bicycle, it's just struck me that I hear about a number of heart-warming stories about the wonderful things neighbours do for one another.

I'd really like to recognise that, partly because it's the the sort of thing that warrants a big ole e-pat on the back and partly because........well it just makes you feel good dunnit.

So I've started off a HoL Good Neighbour e-award scheme. Nothing grand; no big hoo-ha, just a quiet recognition of the good stuff those who live close at hand have done for us and our neighbours.

The idea is that anyone can make an award - a public way of saying thank you or just letting someone know that what they do has been noticed.
