Incident around 4:30am near Stanhope Gardens?

I woke up last night to the sound of a police siren then screeching wheels and a shout of "Stop right there!" Naturally, I was curious, so I looked out of the window but could only see the blue lights of a car parked down Stanhope Gardens. A police van joined it and then two officers carrying torches were searching the section of Green Lanes from Stanhope Gardens up to the overground station where I lost sight of them. Been looking for news about it but there is none, for now at least! Did anyone else see/hear anything?
