How could they do that? More importantly, why would they?
I am starting to wonder if this thread is more suitable to an internal Labour website. Despite not being allowed in, John continues with his obsession via-a-vis Labour candidates (he once said the internal selections are the real elections). Many people with found/find that viewpoint breathtakingly arrogant. I wouldn't write off Karen or David--despite the LibDems poor showing this May. People know and appreciate the work they put in before they were booted out on national issues (even then it was by a small-ish margin). If the Labour candidate wins, he or she will take the Labour whip on the council. That means they won't be able to stand up for local residents. Remember Gideon Bull? Another Labour councillor won't change anything. There isn't a single opposition anywhere in this constituency. With Labour in a 'Dutch Auction' with the Conservatives to be more split and out-of-touch, Chilcott about to publish his report into the Iraq War and the whole mess created following "Brexit", this election is wide open - and an opportunity for the Liberal Democrats to begin the local government fightback.
To be fair to them, it was - and is - a matter for the Trust, not the Council. Where was Lammy (his brother Carl you to chair it).
