Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Dog barking throughout night/early hours in Willoughby Rd/Ducketts Common area

Anyone else being disturbed by this?

For the past few weeks we've been woken by a dog barking incessantly at night, right into the early hours. We're at the Ducketts end of Sydney Road and it doesn't sound that close by, but it's still loud enough that we can hear it. It must be causing such a disturbance to people who live close by! We did wonder if it was someone walking a dog on the Common but it does sound more like the dog's been shut outside in a garden and is barking to be let in. I feel sorry for the poor animal as it sounds distressed but we can't do anything to help it until we've worked out where it is.

Any input gratefully received!

Hi Zoshia

We don't think it's in Sydney Road because we've been asking neighbours. We're pretty sure it's a house on Willoughby between Sydney and Turnpike, but it's hard to work out exactly where. The poor thing is locked out at all hours, even in this heat. We hear it barking at four, five in the morning. I don't know what to suggest if the council are saying they can't help.

Let us know if you do! I want to call the RSPCA – the dog sounds like it's in distress a lot of the time.

Report to Council Noise team

RSPCA  would difficulties if they can not see dog's breakfast

Sounds like a job for a Drone

Thanks so much for update, I went out yesterday afternoon trying to locate the noise because it was barking its head off again but still couldn't locate it!

That is appalling that poor dog is being kept in those conditions. They should be utterly ashamed. Let us know what the council says because I still think the RSPCA should be informed.
