"The terraced shops of Manor Place, Tottenham Lane, were pulled down in 1935, when the town hall was opened amid streets which showed signs of decay."

There's supposed to be an illustration of this facing p.96, if you have access to the print version.

Your picture "Thomas Jenkins Antique Shop Hornsey London,1935" is presumably of the second frontage from the left in this photo.
