Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The cart was part of a coal merchant business based in the railway sidings at Harringay station. The family who owned the business lived in one of the houses pictured.

Thanks to Tristan, the current occupant of the house, for sending me this picture.

The horse looks nice and plump, I wonder where they kept it.

Great picture but as late as the 50s in Frbisher still we had pony and horse drawn milk floats, bakers wagon, fish wagons and coal merchants.

I remember the horse drawn rag n bone cart calling down Harringay Road in the 50's.
