Dear Kate I am having my large carriage fitted with electric lights
I'm not at all sure that the image on the front of the postcard has anything to do with Finsbury Park; I rather suspect not, but I liked the message on the reverse.

So, more than 100 years ago they were saying " an invite " instead of " an invitation "
I suppose I'll just have to stop objecting to that usage
But Weber's " An Invite to the Dance " doesn't quite sing
