Wow, it had been there a while! Do we know what is going to take its place, yet?

The ladies fashion looks like late 1940s to me.. I think this is immediately after the war.

Taken certainly before 'The New Look' .. (1947)

"The New Look was welcomed in western Europe as a refreshing antidote to the austerity of wartime and de-feminizing uniforms, and was embraced by stylish women such as Princess Margaret in the UK".

Could be. The date was given to me by Clive Disney.

Wonderful Disney’s! My Mum used to buy all of her furniture from there. She felt the personal service from the Disney family was impossible to find elsewhere and the furniture was good quality. Somehow, she always managed to get a discount! I still have some of her furniture and the quality is outstanding.

My parents bought a bedroom suite from Disney's about 60 years ago. I can remember them getting it. It served them well but sadly we had to dispose of it 4 years ago.

Lydia Walter.....good for you.  I envy you that.  Nurture it.

I remember Disneys so well and my parents used to get their furniture , it was just a stones throw from where we lived.

Thank you Hugh for showing all these photos, it brings back such lovely childhood memories

I live in a flat with my family, across the Disney Furniture.

I knew the whole family, meet and chat and purchased beds.

After their father passes away, they slowly and surely lose interest.

Brothers did try their best and sadly seeing them gone.
