This gets more interesting. The only record (s) I can find state that Wilbur Wright took the first photograph from an aeroplane but not until 1909! This jars with the legend of this image if 1906 is correct.  Two possibilities; this is 1906 and needs to be verified and recorded. The date is wrong.

Do we know who took it? What archive its from? Any idea of aircraft? Costly so someone paid - follow the money? 

Interest now piqued so onward!
