@Flower.. yes I think the 'Umbrella' is long gone.. Along with it the very high concrete street light candelabra. All the stations on the Cockfosters extension were originally 'floodlight' to make them stick out in a London where street lighting was still primitive.

Did you know (I know Stephen does) that as part of the Cockfosters extension, there was nearly a tube station built in Harringay on Green Lanes at the junction with St Ann's Road?

I lived there in the 50s and 60s and worked for the local paper. Deaths and injuries to pedestrians would justify the railing if you were there then, I fear. Back then the tube ran roughly to time so running for a train was often the last thing some people ever did....
