Yes you do. These Islands were removed in 1950.
As can be seen from the photo, Seven Sisters Road was quite narrow at that time and right over to the right of the photo. The Houses were replaced by the LCC Woodberry Down Estate blocks of flats in the early 1950s. The road as far as Amhurst Park was widened in 1969.

I think the road widening that Steve refers to means the angle isn't quite right on this. I have included the steps to the Underground on the right hand side that must have been there in 1933 but just out of shot?

I used to go to the Manor House Pub upstairs to watch 'Up and Coming' bands such as 'Cream', John Mayalls Bluesbreakers, inc. Long John Baldry,Peter Green,Eric Clapton, etc. I would stand there with my 1/2 pint of bitter, mesmorised by R&B sounds that I had not heard before, in a cosy intimate atmoshere where my heroes performed no more than just 10 ft away me.

Only half a pint?  Mine was always a Light & Bitter. That upstairs club (Manor House Jazz Club? was that its name?) with a very strict lady on the door taking the money. No bouncers in those days. I preferred Wood Green Jazz club though. By the way, those 'tram island' had stairs directly down to the tube station.
