ver 17 tons of material taken out! But, as is so often the case with these houses, the work revealed new problems. The floor was rebuilt from the soil up ( brick piers and timber with lots of ventilation duly approved by building inspector as were the gallows brackets after removal of the chimney breast). Removal of the ceiling prior to replastering / light and extraction installation revealed joists that needed replacing. With a new floor ,new ceiling and walls taken back and re plastered, a door that became a window and a window that became doubl doors, there was a lot of work before we even started fitting the units and worktops. Even so the work was completed within seven weeks and Goan excellent standard. Yes , it generated a lot of mess and dust but the team did there best to minimise it but careful planning / moving/ covering in advance is essential. The work was carried out by Radek Tober and his team who work to exacting standards, we also utilised his link with Klynstone for flooring, units and wonderful worktop. Radek Canberra contacted on: Radoslaw Tober : 07912891266 I'll try to insert some before and after pic's tho' I think Radek may already have them in his Facebook gallery!…

Topic: Building, Painting, Decorating & Related Services - 2014 recommendation
ollowing work carried out by Radek and his team at my flat: Building of wooden understairs cupboard and wardrobe; plastering/decorating; repair of window sill; installation of radiators and hanging of doors. Radek and his project team did everything to a very high standard. I found them to be extremely professional, punctual, tidy and also trustworthy. Radek was recommended to me by a friend. I am very pleased with the results and would definitely use him again if I need any further work done. His team includes carpenters, electricians, decorators etc so it is great when you are looking for a one stop shop. Because he is so good he is very busy but worth waiting for in my view. Olivia Photos of the projects they have done are here (see link): https://www.facebook.com/pages/RT-Builders-Decorators/330719646946305?sk=photos_albums…

Comment on: Topic 'Builder Wanted- Recent Recommendations'
Hi yes I second Radek recommendation, was very pleased with the work he did as a handyman and a very thorough quote for other carpentry work which we decided not to go ahead with for now.

Comment on: Topic 'House painter recommendations anyone? How much should we expect to pay?'
Have you checked out the building sheriff website for a costs estimate? Radek from London Capital Painters recommended it to me. It tells you about how much to expect based on recent quotes for work.
