Welcome to Harringay Online. We hope you'll find it a great way to keep up with what's going on in and around Harringay, to chat with your neighbours about what interests and concerns you – or just to ask for or offer help.
If you didn’t get a chance to read it when you signed up, you can get a basic idea of what we’re all about and how the site works on our welcome page.
If you have any questions, feel free to visit the page of Hugh or Liz and ask anything you like. (We’re not setting ourselves up as oracles here, but we’ll do our best to help with anything about Harringay Online).
We’d love to hear from you so please share your views by commenting on posts that interest you or adding new ones.
Working weekends, mmm. If you were around tomorrow, I'd suggest the Harringay Open Gardens and the Harringay Market.
We have quarterly drinks, but you just missed the last on Weds. How about the various nights at Moka. Hugo does a wine night once a month wich you have to pay fro but a very sociable, mainly Ladder folk. There's also Moka First Thursdays (one next week). Not sure if they'er sociable or not. You could ask them or on the site.
Other than that, just keep an eye on our events listings.
I'll ask Liz to add some thoughts about new parenty type stuff.

Hi Nina,
Hugh asked me to let you know about stuff for parents in the neighbourhood:
It's been a while since I was a new parent but I know that once the baby is born, there's lots of great meet ups at the YMCA Hornsey: http://www.ymcahornsey.org/harringayclub/modules/info/index.php?pag...
Jolly Babies at Burghley Road is popular with new parents:

Libraries also do lots of pre-school and baby stuff.
I know that the Tottenham NCT are pretty active:

or there is a Haringey branch which organises meet ups for parents to be

The Ladder Children's Centre has drop ins

I try and list as much as I can here in our Kids group:

If you do Twitter Emily runs Local Mums and Dads twitter stream and they have meet ups

Hope some of that can help you find local parent contacts in the local area.
Let me know if you need any further help.
best wishes for your pregnancy
