David............ are your parents from Hull ? If so did they lodge with a family (Servantes ?) in Warham Road for about a year ? There is a son, Colin Servantes who is supplying this info. Hope to hear something from you.
Hello David..........yep I received your comment thanks. The "info/supply" chain isn't straight forward unfortunately David. I'll try to explain it a bit. My mate Colin Phillips lived at 144 Fairfax Road approx. 61-67, (born 1948). His parents and sister Denise remained there post 67. He attended SHJS where he met Colin Servantes. Both Colins have remained mates since. I don't think I know Colin S.
So your post of living in Fairfax caught my eye. I'm having to gleen all my info from Colin Servantes through my mate Colin Phillips. Mr. P don't have a computer, corresponds in fits and starts and now lives in Macclesfield. I now live in Norfolk. Colin S still lives around Harringay area and seems to be into local history whereas my mate Mr P dips in and out to a far lesser extent. So I am waiting and hoping that my mate CP passes my request onto his mate CS for copy of school photo. Patience is name of game when dealing with Mr Phillips....very frustrating. CP went on to North Harringay Senior. Me and he met up in 63. So bear with me David and hopefully.............???
Hello David, I'm Tony Rowsell and I posted the photo of the two boys in Warham Road. I'm on the right and I lived in the upstairs flat at 51 Warham Road and the other boy is Johnny James who lived at number 71 Warham Road. The photo was probably taken in 1953. We both went to South Harringay and Johnny went on to North Harringay whilst I went to Stationers. Incidentally, I remember the Servantes family. My family moved to Brampton Road over the Green Lanes about 1958. I now live in Hartlepool The school photos were of Stationers' Company's School in Mayfield Road.
