A sufficiently unusual surname to perhaps mention the only two Mummerys in a Hornsey & surrounds1906/7 directory, in case they become indirectly useful:

Commercial ---- Thomas A. Mummery, house furnisher, 133 Fortess Road

Residential ----- William Mummery, 90 Myddleton Road

He crops up in the 1939 register as a retired architect, DoB 20 July 1862 (whcih matches the census age) at 12 Leamington Road, Bournemouth. His wife is still alive, and there is also an entry reading "Horace A Mummery born 1 Aug 1867 Artist Art Teacher (Retired) Single": from the DoB he cannot be a son, perhaps brother? or a more distant relative on his father's line? Hope this is of interest!
