These two charts put up by Tom Mellor look interesting but not wholly self explanatory. Could we hear more about them, the source etc?

Wightman Road really is a horrible rat ran. It isn't at all designed for the type of traffic that it carried. Keeping it closed will allow much more active travel, allow kids to play outside, as well as keeping the ladder roads calm.
Stroud Green Road should …tag:harringayonline.com,2016-03-04:844301:Comment:8457132016-03-04T15:18:33.441ZGordon Thttps://harringayonline.com/profile/GordonT

Stroud Green Road should reopen on Monday 14 March according to the roadworks.org site.

And you could blame Boris (well he's got broad shoulders) for Ferme Park Road - the Borisbuses imminently arriving on Route 91 are too long to go round the roundabout until it is remade, with narrower pavements and a non-raised centre (more details on the Opinion8 site). Can't see it on roadworks.org though for a finish date, unless it's done and dusted already.

Something I've been wondering about is the fact that the disruption caused by the work on Wightman probably won't be helped by other relevant road works in the area.

Eg the north end of Ferme Park Rd (by the roundabout) is on a one way filter - as this road runs parallel (north/south) to Wightman in an ideal world you'd probably not have both restricted at the same time.

And then off course Stroud Green Road (another key north/south route) is completely shut because of the work…

Agree with all the comments here about the need for some more advance warning for drivers on Wightman.
