For practice come to the indoor market above Seven Sisters station, where many of the stallholders are of Latin American origin - especially on a Saturday afternoon when there is a distinct party atmosphere as people come in from miles away to meet friends. You can practice buying food, getting a haircut, getting legal advice, renting a flat, buying a new t-shirt, mending clothes, buying jewellery, pick up Spanish-language newspapers....  You may also find someone who would want to be a tutor.
