If not, does anyone have a hotel recommendation?

Hi all, can anyone recommend a decent local hotel? I checked out the Beaconsfield but it's a bit basic for our needs. I'm looking for somewhere comfortable for my elderly parents to stay for a night or two in Green lanes or Finsbury Park. Thanks in advance.

My dad is coming for the weekend at some point soon, and I've been trying to find a half-decent-looking B&B somewhere in the local area (we're on Green Lanes near the overground station), but all of the reviews of places nearby that I can see are utterly dire.

Any chance anybody here knows of somewhere nearby that isn't terrible?

Some American friends of mine have booked rooms in the Beaconsfield, which I thought was just a big pub, but is apparently also a hotel. The website says it is in a "quiet residential neighbourhood", though I have told my friends that it's actually on a busy road opposite a shopping centre, and could be rather noisy. But the rooms are extremely cheap for London.

Does anyone know anything about this hotel? Reviews on Tripadvisor are to say the least not very positive.

Hello all,

My cousins are coming over from canada and are interested in staying near to Lausanne where we live.

But, as is the case with most of us we tend not to use hotels or B&Bs in the area we live in. Has anyone got anyrecommendations for accomodation around the ladder or towards crouch end?

Thanks

A discussion over on the Stroud Green site, turned up these two relatively local guest houses which look jolly nice. Thought folks might like to be aware.
