<p>Hi can anyone shed some light on what happened to the Green lanes development/ Harringay village work?<br/> I last year that money had been awarded to widen pavements, brighten up the railway bridge, plant more trees and restore 35 shop fronts etc. I think the words pavement society were even included in the plans along with a harringay village sign post. It all seems to have gone very quiet.</p>

I wrote to Peter Watson who has given me the following updates on trees, piazza, bike stands:<br />

1. I took over the post from the previous project manager Steve Jones on the 6 November. Since that time I have been bringing myself up to speed with this project and others that I have been tasked to manager. Our main point of focus has been to substantially complete the works in Green lanes. As a result of this some of the non construction communication elements of the work have slipped namely updates to the public. I can confirm that an update reflecting where the project is at close of play today will appear on the website next week.<br />
2. I have been given assurances by our contractor that all the paving/piazza works will be complete tomorrow morning in time for the Christmas Parade tomorrow afternoon.<br />
3. The works that are outstanding and will not be completed until the middle of January are the installation of the bike racks, resin aggregate bases to the trees and the completion of some lighting works to the main dome of the Salisbury.<br />
4. It is intended to plant out the planting beds in early spring.<br />
<br />
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me.<br />

So until we have clear updates on the website, I suggest contacting paul Dever or Peter Watson for questions on operational details. I hope this helps....! I'm assuming that the trees shown in detailed plans for the regeneration works last year are still coming, unless anyone has any new information. Does anybody have any firm information on when this would happen? A few months ago, Cllr Ryan told us in a different HoL thread that the trees would be planted in the next planting season, October to May. However, I was not able to find any further details on the councils website. (The title of this thread is a quote from the council's website…

The Salisbury Piazza: Ashtray or planters?tag:harringayonline.com,2014-09-26:844301:Topic:6821272014-09-26T12:10:51.984ZPavhttps://harringayonline.com/profile/PavlosMastiki
The attached photo (26//9/14) shows how the planters are being used as an astray. I am sure the work will be completed eventually. However, I feel that poor communication on finishing the work from whoever is in charge undermines the positive work done on the Green Lanes regeneration project so far.

...tasteful and impressive, but I was wondering when the rest of the work will be completed on the piazza. Piles of unused granite are fenced off around the trees and rubbish is being dumped in the empty planters. And was there going to be a big illuminated something or other on top of the Salisbury or did I dream that one? I note all the negative comments made on previous posting on the piazza so far, but it would be good to know when and how it will be finished, if anyone has the information.…

Green Lanes Regeneration- Snagging?tag:harringayonline.com,2014-07-18:844301:Topic:6536682014-07-18T16:54:59.117ZJustin Guesthttps://harringayonline.com/profile/JustinGuest
<p>Not sure who this should go to, but I expect the GL Regeneration team are now looking at snagging issues? I have seen a couple of times that when it rains the new corner of Mattison and Green Lanes quit a big puddle can form. This one is quite tame in comparison to one I saw. Not sure if this might make it onto the snag list?</p>
<p>Let me know if I need to forward this to anyone.…</p>

<p>If you've seen them, it's probably quite apparent that they're designed to echo various architectural elements of the grand old dame beneath whom they shelter. When I first saw them, they brought to mind the chess pieces in the foyer of the St Martin's Hotel (or is that wishful thinking?).</p>

<p>Good progress has been made with the paving outside the Salisbury pub in the last few days and a few trees have been planted. Here are 3 phone snaps I took. I like what I see so far, but I'd also be interested to hear what some of my neighbours think. And if anyone has factual info on the timetabling of further tree planting, street furniture etc. on Grand Parade., it would be good to hear this too.
