I highly recommend Jon Meddings at JM Fireplace Installations. He has recently fitted a restored period fireplace for me in a period building and kindly put together the mantle, hearth and fireplace body.

Jon was very clean and considerate during the installation of the fireplace and completed the work efficiently and to a really high standard. He worked within my timescale and was even kind enough to complete a couple of touch ups. He is honest and very reasonably priced.

Hi Everyone

My husband and I have just moved into a 2 bed flat on the Harringay Ladder. We would also be keen to restore the original victorian tiling in the entrance way.

Any help would be much appreciated

Another recommendation for Jon Meddings who just installed a Victorian fireplace for us and did a fantastic job. Jon was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the process, from checking the chimney, to moving a gas pipe (he's gas safe) to the actual installation itself. He spent time helping us decide on the dimensions and drawing up an outline on the chimney breast and also arranged for a scale drawing to be done for us. He spent time helping us decide on the dimensions and drawing up an outline on the chimney breast and also arranged for a scale drawing to be done for us. He collected the fireplace and grate from the shop for us (even though we purchased it separately). He was very considerate, taking off his shoes, covering everything in the room with dust sheets and hoovering afterwards. Would highly recommend - his number is 07939212740.
Gas fire and fireplace surroundtag:harringayonline.com,2018-09-19:844301:Topic:11200782018-09-19T15:15:37.960ZJenny Whttps://harringayonline.com/profile/JennyWilkes

He basically does everything and anything related to fireplaces!

He did a full check and test / sweep of the fireplace, which included installing a carbon monoxide detector, ensuring the room was properly ventilated, a smoke test, sweep of the chimney and some works on the fireplace as well, on top of painting the fireplace and fitting a grill. We're asking him to come back to install a hearth in a smaller fireplace we have.

He was very communicative before, during and after the job, and did it all for a reasonable, decent price. He was also very careful to be tidy with his work, and with our furniture/room etc during the job.

Hi,
We are having our whole house done and I would like to re instate our fireplace in the lounge.
How would I go about this?
Does anybody have some experience with local fitters/ chimney liners?
How much would this cost?
The fire place is there in all it's late victoriana prettyness, that's why we'd like to use it from time to time.

Many thanks,
Kris
