YMCA North London’s annual Adult 10k and Children’s fun runs has evolved since 1991 into one of the largest community events in North London, continuing to grow in popularity and attendance year on year.
This annual event combines an adult 10k event, followed by 9 children's 1 mile fun runs. In addition to the fun runs, and over 5,000 people in Priory Park enjoy the day-long festival of music and entertainment.
This is our flagship fundraising event, which enables us to celebrate the work we do in the community.
Our aim is to raise funds to enable members of our community to thrive. This allows us to provide much needed services for some of society’s most vulnerable groups, especially young people, through our housing, childcare and health and well-being services. Firstly providing them with stability and support, then enabling them to achieve their goals of independence, health and well-being.
We also provide youth & fitness programmes, out of school care & children's activities.
£150 could provide computer training enabling a homeless young person to gain employment
£35 could provide one night’s accommodation
£10 could provide a hot evening meal and breakfast
£5 could provide a young person fleeing abuse, with a wash kit and toothbrush on their first night in our hostel.
Fundraising in optional, however race entries are discounted for those who choose to raise a minimum of £30 in sponsorship or donations.
