DESCRIPTION:We’ll introduce what biodiversity is, why it is importan
 t, and how it can be encouraged in gardens and green spaces.\nAbout th
 is event\n\nDuring the session we will run through how we garden for w
 ildlife and the habitats we have introduced to benefit both wildlife a
 nd humans!\nWe’ll introduce you to our wildlife pond, amphibian hote
 l, dead wood piles, solitary bee hotel, wild flower areas, dead hedges
 , and other nature orientated interventions, as well as a tour of the 
 gardens. We’ll give you practical advice as to the best pollinator p
 lants for bumble and solitary bees and how these featured can be incor
 porated in your gardens or balconies.\nKindly funded by the Tottenham 
 Flower and Produce show /The National Lottery. Donations to the garden
  always welcome!\n\nAbout:\nHarmony Gardens is a unique community grow
 ing space next to Broadwater Farm and Lordship Recreation Ground in th
 e heart of Tottenham, Haringey. This hidden gem is a peaceful haven fo
 r wildlife and locals alike, with raised beds for growing organic vege
 tables, fruit trees, wildflowers and two wildlife ponds.\nThis 2 hour 
 introductory workshop will be led by Mike Downs, our wildlife garden l
 ead and co-lead of the Lordship Rec orchard.Location:\nHarmony Gardens
