Learn new skills, make friends and help maintain our beautiful meadow!
Some great wildlife activities on offer at our next Community Action Day on Sunday 25 October.
- Plant native spring bulbs (please bring along a bulb planter if you have one)
- Sow native wild flower seeds to encourage pollinators and provide forage for bees and birds
- Learn to scythe - a traditional way to mow long grass that is kinder on the environment and gets you fit
- Clear brambles to protect the unique meadow grassland, a rare habitat in decline in the UK
We welcome a diverse range of people of all ages and abilities. Children are welcome on site but children under age 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Tea and biscuits provided.
Please bring lunch to share and your own water bottle as there is no mains water tap for drinking water on site.
Please wear suitable footwear as if recent rain the ground will be muddy.
