Thalassaemia is a genetic condition that affects the production of red blood cells in new-borns with Mediterranean, Asian and Chinese heritage.
The UK Thalassaemia Society is a charity organisation that relies on the generosity of the general public to provide assistance to people affected by this blood disorder to the UK and around the world.
The Walk is being held to commemorate International Thalassaemia Day on 8 May 2013 and this year we aim to raise £20,000.
