Please come and support Haringey Tree Wardens by being there whilst the Council plant approximately ten trees in three local Haringey parks - Woodside (N17) , Belmont (N22) and Priory (N8). Participate in the event by doing some digging if you would like to, or just watch and maybe take photographs and have a chat with some like-minded people.
These free events might help you increase your knowledge and appreciation of our trees - they belong to all of us.
You might like to use an app on your phone to recognise different sorts of trees, or use our free one-page Tree Key, or just ask someone.
When you revisit a tree you planted/helped to plant/grow up in the park it's more rewarding knowing you had a worthwhile a thing to do.
Dates are all Fridays at 10am:
Woodside Park N22 on 13th March (website facebook)
Belmont Rec N17 20th March (website facebook)
Priory Park N8 on 27th March (website facebook)
This Friday, for the Woodside Park event, meet at the Earlham Grove entrance, in front of the Cypriot Community Centre, postcode N22 5HJ
Please note that you don't have to be a tree warden to join in - many people simply turn up every so often to look and learn. Few of us know very much individually (even the experts get stumped sometimes) but together we are more resourceful. Nearly everyone usually has something to contribute if they wish but there's no obligation.
